Day 1 — The south: Kuta Lombok and its beaches
The beaches of Kuta Lombok: Tanjung Aan, Selong Belanak (perfect for learning to surf), Mawun. Laid-back vibe, pale sand.
Day 2 — The Gili islands
Off to the Gilis: Trawangan the lively one, Air the balanced one, Meno the quiet one. Snorkeling with turtles, and no cars on the islands.
Day 3 — The north: waterfalls and Rinjani
The Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, the Sembalun rice fields at the foot of Rinjani, or the Senggigi coast.
The logic: group by zone
First put your places on a map to see the clusters. If you have a Google Maps favourites list, start by exporting it or pasting your list. With MyFavsMap, you visualise your Lombok spots, filter by category and build your days by zone (south, Gili, north) — so you enjoy more and rush less.
Practical tips
- Scooter or driver: distances are long, plan for them.
- Boat to the Gilis: book, especially in high season.
- Rinjani: the trek takes preparation (2-3 days), not for everyone.
- Respect the local culture, more traditional than Bali.
- A night on a Gili to enjoy the sunset.
