The problem: adding places is tedious
Copy a name, look up the address, re-enter the coordinates… times dozens of places, collecting becomes discouraging. Most people give up before they ever have a real map.
The ideal is to add a place right where you find it: straight from Google Maps.
The solution: the MyFavsMap Chrome extension
The extension adds an “Add to MyFavsMap” button to any Google Maps place. You click, and the place is saved to your map with its name, category and exact coordinates.
No export, no file, no copy-paste: it's instant.
How to install it
Open the Chrome Web Store, search for “MyFavsMap” (or use the link below) and click “Add to Chrome”. Installation takes ten seconds and the extension is free.
Direct link: MyFavsMap on the Chrome Web Store.
How to use it
On any Google Maps place (a restaurant, a hotel, a beach), the “Add to MyFavsMap” button appears. One click and it's done. The place is instantly available on your map, sorted by category.
You build your map as you browse, without ever leaving Google Maps.
No extension? It works too
On mobile or without the extension, you can paste a Google Maps link into the app, or paste a list of place names: MyFavsMap locates them and adds them to the map. The extension is just a shortcut — handy, but not required.
Install the extension, then click “Add to MyFavsMap” on any Google Maps place.
